Nashville-style fried chicken sandwiches in Air fryer

Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless, skinless chicken thighs (approx. 4 pieces)
  • 2 cups (600 g) buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1 cup (140g) flour

Steps

  1. In a bowl, pour the buttermilk with the cayenne pepper, chilli powder, salt, black pepper and garlic. Mix very well and add the chicken. marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Remove from the mixture and place the flour in a resealable bag. Place chicken in bag with flour; cover completely and shake off excess. Place in the air fryer basket and select Fry Setting at 200°C. Reduce time by 10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 75°C.
  3. Let stand for approximately 5 minutes while you prepare the hot sauce.
  4. For the hot sauce. In a small saucepan, combine vegetable oil, chili powder, paprika, cumin and cayenne pepper; bring to a simmer. Remove mixture from heat and spread on chicken just before serving.
  5. Serve chicken on a brioche bun topped with coleslaw and pickle.

Homemade pizzas in Air fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread (day-old or from the day before) which we will divide into 4 pieces.
  • Fried tomato
  • Bacon cut into strips
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese (or the one of your choice)
  • Fresh mushrooms
  • Black olives
  • Dried oregano
  • Dry oregano
  • .

Steps

  1. Cut the loaf of bread in two pieces and cut each one in half (repeat this with the bread as many times as you like depending on the number of people at the table)
  2. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 200°. Ideally they should brown quickly on top as it is not like a pizza and the bread is already baked.
  3. Spread tomato sauce on the bread with a soup spoon.
  4. Place a little oregano on top, then bacon, then mushrooms and black olives. Finally add mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Place the pizzettes on parchment paper and put them in the air fryer for 5 to 10 minutes. The time and temperature may vary depending on the model of air fryer you have.
  6. After the time has elapsed, take the pizzettes out and wait another couple of minutes before eating them as the bread retains a lot of heat.
  7. Take them to the table and enjoy!

Chef’s Recommendations

So that the mushrooms do not fill the pizzettes with liquid, cut them into slices and put them in the microwave for about 1 minute (this time is for 6 fresh mushrooms, if there are more, the time will vary) until you see that they have reduced in volume and are soft.
