Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan

Crispy, golden chicken Parmesan without a pot of frying oil. The air fryer gives the Italian-breadcrumb coating a real crunch, then melts the mozzarella right on top in the last couple of minutes.
Spoon marinara over the top or serve it on the side with pasta — either way it's a weeknight dinner that tastes like takeout.
Ingredients
Instructions
Set up a breading station
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F. Mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan in a shallow bowl. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, then press into the crumb mixture to coat.
Air fry
Spray the basket and the top of the chicken with cooking spray. Air fry at 360°F for about 12 minutes, until golden and cooked through (165°F internal).
Melt the cheese
Lay a slice of mozzarella on each breast for the last 2 minutes, until melted. Top with marinara and parsley and serve.
- Pound thick breasts to an even thickness so they cook evenly.
- The cooking spray is what turns the breadcrumbs crisp and golden — don't skip it.
- Add the marinara at the end so the coating stays crunchy.
