Air Fryer Bread Rolls

Soft, pillowy air fryer bread rolls with a golden crust — fresh-baked dinner rolls without turning on the oven. The air fryer gives them an even, bakery-style finish in about 12 minutes.
Just five simple ingredients and a little rise time. Warm, fluffy rolls to mop up sauces, build sandwiches, or serve alongside dinner.
Ingredients
Instructions
Activate the yeast
Stir the yeast into the warm water and let it foam for 5 minutes.
Make the dough
Mix the flour, salt and oil, then add the yeast water and knead until smooth and no longer sticky. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Shape & rise
Divide into small balls, place on parchment with space between them, and let rise 20 minutes.
Air fry
Air fry at 340°F for about 10–12 minutes, until golden. Brush with butter if you like.
- Use warm (not hot) water so you don't kill the yeast.
- Let the dough fully double for light, airy rolls.
- Brush with butter straight out of the air fryer for a soft crust.
Frequently asked
How long do bread rolls take in the air fryer?
About 10–12 minutes at 340°F, until golden, after the dough has risen.
Can I bake rolls from frozen dough?
Yes — thaw and let them rise first, then air fry as usual.
Why didn't my rolls rise?
The yeast may have been old or the water too hot. Use fresh yeast and warm (about 110°F) water.
